WHERE TO STAY:

If you require accommodation for the event, or wish to spend some time exploring the area, we recommend staying in Reggio Calabria. The city is not only beautiful and charming but also offers the best transport links (both for arriving and for local travel).

GETTING HERE:

By plane:

The nearest airports are:

Reggio Calabria

via flights from Bologna, Rome, London . . .

Reggio Calabria Airport is linked to the city centre via ATAM bus lines 27 and 28 (running approximately every 15-30 minutes), with a journey time of around 25 minutes.

(The most convenient option in general, especially for those travelling from bigger cities).

Lamezia Terme

via flights from Bologna, Rome, London . . .

Lamezia Terme Airport connects to Reggio Calabria via a bus and train combination, requiring a change at Lamezia Terme Centrale station. The total journey time is approximately 2 hours.

(Less convenient unless your intention is to hire a car directly at the airport).

Catania

via flights from Bologna, Rome, London, Ancona, Perugia, Pescara . . .

Catania Airport serves small, medium, and large cities. The route involves a combination of bus (Sais Autolinee from Catania Airport to Messina Piazza della Repubblica) + a 3-minute walk + hydrofoil. The total journey time is about 2.5 hours (depending on bus and hydrofoil connections).

(A more convenient option for those travelling from smaller cities).

By train:

Reggio Calabria station can be reached by regional, intercity, and high-speed trains. Routes often require a change at Roma Termini Station. For those travelling by train from Marche region, we advise departing from Foligno station, changing at Roma Termini, and continuing on to Reggio Calabria.
